The feeling between two strangers, the advantages of technology and the unpredictability of fate are the ingredients of “Hotspot - Amore Senza Rete”. This romantic comedy directed by Giulio Manfredonia (“Si può fare”, “Qualunquemente”, “Rocco Schiavone”) and starring Francesco Arca (“Allacciate le cinture”, “Gli idoli delle donne”, “Resta con me”) and Denise Tantucci (“Tre piani”, “Io e mio fratello”) marks the first co-production between Sony Pictures International Productions and Eagle Pictures.

Co-written by Roberto Proia ("Come non detto", "Sul più bello” trilogy, “Backstage - Dietro le quinte") and Mauro Graiani (“Poli opposti”, “Copperman”), “Hotspot - Amore Senza Rete” tells the story of Tina, a young dancer who dreams of making her way in the world of dance. As in the best romantic comedies, the chance of a lifetime - an application for an important audition for the Teatro San Carlo in Naples -arrives while she is waiting for her flight at London airport. With only twenty minutes to send the decisive email, fate, once again, gets in the way between the airport's wi-fi connection that doesn't work and the gigabytes running out on her phone. Her last chance is to connect to the active hotspot on the iPhone of the charming Pietro, who decides to share his password with her. Tina is saved but a few weeks later she receives a notification on her phone: her wi-fi has connected to Pietro's hotspot again. Is it just a fluke or a sign of destiny?

In addition to the leads Francesco Arca and Denise Tantucci, “Hotspot - Amore Senza Rete” features in its cast Erasmo Genzini (“Che Dio ci aiuti”), Anna Lucia Pierro (“I bastardi di Pizzofalcone”, “Mina Settembre”), Peppe Servillo and Rosalia Porcaro. A romantic comedy that, combining the magic of destiny with the modernity of digital connections, shows us, once again, that “in love, connection is everything". 

After being premiered in the Panorama Italia section of Alice nella Città, “Hotspot - Amore Senza Rete” will arrive in Italian cinemas in 2024.
